英國堪稱「香腸王國」，全國每天消耗掉數以百萬計的香腸。作為英式早餐的主角，英國共有400餘種香腸，幾乎在英國各個小鎮都有不同的香腸風味。 其中昆布蘭腸的香腸應該是英國最有名的香腸了。昆布蘭香腸有超過500年的歷史，2011年更是獲得了「受保護地理標誌」（PGI）認證，以此來保護它的工藝與傳統。
來自英格蘭西北部昆布蘭腸不同於常見香腸般使用細碎的絞肉，昆布蘭腸中豬肉的顆粒更大，因此口感也更好。香腸中還加入了各種新鮮香草，常見的有香菜和迷迭香。每條豬肉腸口感豐富且鮮美香濃，適合香煎、燒烤或烤焗。
